Named after the writer George Sand, Jill Sand D’Angelo was born in San Diego, California to a drummer-turned-psychologist father, and a modern-dancer-turned-lawyer mother.  She is the author of the linked short-story collection DEAR CLARA, the novel A REAL DOG, and has recently finished her second short-story collection STORIES OF MEN.  For the past ten years, she has worked closely with the Israeli author Amos Oz.  She lives in New York City.
